Gazelle (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a personal journaling app designed to help you reflect, track patterns, and better understand your inner life. Your journal is personal. We treat it that way.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
When you use Gazelle, you may choose to provide:
- Journal entries, including text or voice recordings you create
- Mood ratings, tags, and categories (e.g. work, friends, love)
- Optional metadata, such as timestamps or entry titles
You control what you write or record. We do not add content to your journal.
b. Voice Data
If you use voice journaling:
- Audio is processed only to create a text version of your entry
- Voice data is not used for advertising or profiling
- Audio may be temporarily processed and then discarded, unless you explicitly choose to keep it
c. Automatically Collected Information
We may collect limited technical data, such as:
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- Anonymous usage data (e.g. feature usage, crashes)
This data helps us keep the app stable and improve performance. It does not identify you personally.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to:
- Provide journaling, mood tracking, and visualization features
- Generate summaries or assist with tagging (when you opt in)
- Improve the app’s functionality and reliability
Gazelle does not:
- Sell your data
- Share your journal entries with advertisers
- Use your content to train large public AI models
Your journal is for you.
3. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- Secure storage practices
- Access controls to limit internal access
However, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we design Gazelle with care and restraint.
4. Your Choices and Controls
You can:
- Edit or delete journal entries at any time
- Disable voice journaling or AI-assisted features
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at:

We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Children’s Privacy
Gazelle is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
